Sometimes games are cancelled no matter what precautions you take, but when your involved in lifting th covers and the park looks fine it is much harder to understand.

After exiting the Scottish cup last week I was looking forward to this weekends fixture to see if we could erase the memory of a disappointing night in the Highlands. But our derby clash against the Accies was surprisingly called of just before 2 o'clock by a certain Mr Dallas who I recall made some shocking decisions last time he visited Broomfield to do a shift.
I never once thought for a minute that the match would be in doubt as the club had taken the precaution of having the pitch covers in place. It was all the more surprising as the weather on Saturday appeared to be fine but the refs decision is final and who are we to argue with officialdom.
At the moment we don't know when the re-arranged match will be scheduled but surely it would make sense for it to be played this Saturday as both clubs have a free weekend due to poor Scottish cup form but that would be too simple a solution for the powers that be to arrange and they will probably make us play it on a Tuesday or  Wednesday which will mean a loss of revenue for the club as everyone knows bar the people who run our game that attendances tend to drop for midweek fixtures.
Why can't the SFL show some common sense for a change and try to make decisions that would be beneficial for their member clubs?
