Airdrie are back

Jim Ballantyne and his team today got the go ahead to proceed with the takeover of Clydebank, and subsequently return full time football to the town of Airdrie.

Airdrie United would take Clydebanks league place come August as a Division Two side, with Sandy Stewart and Brian Rice in charge. The legal process has now to be finalised between Jim Ballantyne's team and Clydebanks liquidator.
