Airdrie Vs. Hamilton match preview.

I still find it strange that we here talk of this match being a derby, yet when I think of it I can't seem to build up much enthusiasm for it at all. It's a game we need to win and a game that could possibly secure our place in the division, but more than that?

Sandy has a couple of obvious worries, Kevin Christie is still out with
his continuing groin strain problem and Martin Hardie after exiting
early last week is a continuing worry. It is hoped that Martin will make
it.
Although not confirmed I have also heard that Paul Lovering is nearing a
suspension limit and may miss this match. If he is missing who would you
play at left back?
It has also been stated that winning last weeks game and then winning
this weeks match will be enough to keep us in the Bells First Division
will 41 points be enough for that? Strange to think that if we win
tomorrow we will only be 4 points behind Clyde in second spot. A lot of
ifs and buts but that is the norm when following Airdrie.
After tomorrows match we enter the final quarter of the season, nine
games to go and this season is all over and done with. so a quick poll
question has this season been a success so far?
Volunteers have also been asked to help remove snow from the park on
Saturday morning, times have not yet been confirmed but as soon as it is
we will let you know.

Accies come to us with a fully fit squad and Maitland is demanding that
Hamilton come away from this mach with at least a point. Hamilton as we all
know are fighting a rear guard action with Partick Thistle and with this
game in hand they must be hoping to open up as big a gap as possible.
Three points would see them leap above Ross County.
Assuming Hamilton and ourselves manage to stay in the first division at the
first time of asking, does this say anything about the condition of football
in Scotland in general? Or am I reading to much in to this?

I don't think i have to remind you of the last time Hugh Dallas took
control of one of our games. For me it is the best we have performed
all season and the best game I have seen. Our home win over St
Mirren (3 Vs. 2). I wonder if we will be focussing on the game
tonight or whether Mr Dallas will be hogging the lime light. |
