Clan Chief's View of Stranraer.

I travelled to Stair Park, full of hope to see the Diamonds kick off the new league campaign and left Stranraer disappointed not just by the result.

I witnessed one of the worst performances by a ref in a long while; Due to Mr. Boyle’s incompetence we will have to do without the services of Brian McPhee for the next couple of matches as he was rather harshly shown a red for nothing other than a run of the mill aerial challenge. I’m sure that most Stranraer fans would agree too as their lot were on the receiving end of some dodgy refereeing decisions too. I’m sure that a more capable ref would have handled this match differently.

The Diamonds performance was no better and was similar to the Stair park halftime entertainment which for those of you who were lucky enough not to be there can only be described as wee lassies performing what seemed to be synchronized falling about.

Not the most encouraging of starts but there is still a long way to go.
