Reidy deal not done and dusted

Nigel Doughty has insisted that there is no deal for Andy Reid with Tottneham Hotspur. It is now well known that Forest turned down 5 million pounds plus Rohan Ricketts for the young Irishman. However speculation has recently increased that a deal is already switched on and Reid is on his way.

Reid has been known to be on many premiership clubs wish list for some time now. He has had a great season playing every competitive game (league and cup), as well as putting 13 goals in the back of the net. Reid's achievements were recognised last night as he was name as part of the PFA Division 1 player of the year. A lot of attention has been directed upon Reid recently, many premiership teams have been said to have had eyes upon the left-winger. Forest are known to have already rejected two bids from Spurs. Charlton too have been reported to have made an approach. Kinnear said: "Nothing is sealed, no contracts have been done and nothing is in writing." Kinnear did however admit that Reid had spoken to Spurs. Doughty seemingly backed his manager by saying: "But no deal has been done for the end of the season." £10 million is the reported fee that Forest are now asking. So will Reid go? I have to say I believe he will. Whilst it seems that bar a large offer on Dawson he will be here next season, as Kinnear seems determined to keep the centre-back.
