Meet The Team

Michael Lynch (Webmaster/Editor/Writing Staff) Why I'm a Red- It's not always a joy following the Reds. We go through a contrast of emotions every week sitting in the terraces as mere onlookers as a bunch of full grown men run around on some grass like headless chickens. We pay amazing amounts of money to watch this and we think that we must shout four letter expletives at the players in order to prove our point. Or so some people think.

Even when Nottingham Forest are losing it is a joy. Not as much of a joy. But nevertheless- it is a joy. Just knowing that you are doing the best you can to support your team. To support your local community- fills you with pride. You know that you are doing possitive to support the players, and are proud to be form where you are from.

Supporting Forest is an amazing experience. Every week we will come through the turnstiles and will sit in the freezing cold waiting for the match to start. We are excited. The same old tunes are being played over and over and you have become so accustomed to this that you know that the tune of U2's beautiful Day signifies the fact that kick off is just 10 minutes away. You know that when Underworld's Born Slippy is played that it is time to stand and be counted. Show your support for the Reds. And the first action you must take in order to do this is bellow at the top of your voice "You reds!"

It is then time for the teams to exit the players tunnel, that tune from Gladiator plays the supporting role at this part. We all stand up and clap our respective teams. The away fans will usually be in good voice and will be trying to make the City or town or wherever they come from proud of them. City Pride- that's what football is all about. That and passion and just the fact that it will burn the minutes of your life away for which otherwise there is no meaning.
