Tomorrow's clash with Wigan Athletic at the City Ground is the Reds' last hom game this season. We will be looking to end on a high and hopefully gain all 3 points from the clash.
So this season is almost at an end and this Saturday's clash will singinify the end of the Reds' City Ground campaign with our last game being against West Bromwich Albion away at the Hawthorns. Tomorrow's game is against Wigan Athletic, and we'll want to finish the season in front of our home fans on a high, but that will be a hard task against them. Paul Jewell posesses a strong side with a lot of quality players. His team perform a no-nonsence style of football and execute it to the perfection which has seen them chasing to successful promotion campaigns in succession. About Wigan: Manager: Paul Jewell Ones to Watch: Nathan Ellington - A powerful striker who is feared by many teams. They have good reason too. The goals have been coming in thick and fast for the youngster this season and he as won a few games for Wigan. He along with jason Roberts (below) have proved they can do the job for the Latics this season. Jason Roberts- Yet another quality striker for the Cockneys. Wigan will be looking to grab a few goals on Saturday and it will be up to our back four and Paul Gerrard to stop them. My Prediction: I'll go with a 2-2 draw but have gone for a Forest win on the prediction league as on there I am known as the eternal optimist. What the gaffer says: "I believe our record of just two defeats from 15 games speaks volumes,” Anything else: Yes, James Beaumont could be ready to make his debut tomorrow as Kinnear now feels he is ready for the challenge. Good luck.
Assistant Manager: Chris Hutchings
First Team Coach: David Lowe
Chief Scout: David Hamilton
“That is a run that is more in keeping with a side chasing promotion rather than one fighting to stay up.
“But now is not the time for sitting back and letting complacency creep in to our performances.
“I want us to finish the season as well as we possibly can, which will give us something to take into the summer and the new season.”
