Forest fans have proved tehmselves to be the best in the country this season. Despite being involved in a relegation dogfight an playing our football at the wrong end of the table our attendances have managed to reach a 40 year high!

The fans have played their part in helping the Reds avoid relegation this season. I'm not going to make the claims that it was all due to the fans like some extremists have done- rather just thank my fellow faithful for making this season an enjoyable one.

We demonstrated our passion for the club this campaign by helping our league attendances reach a 40 yea rhigh. Now just think about that for a minute... It was less than 40 years ago that we were European chmapions, and we've got more fans now than then? Nothing short of amazing.

"These figures demonstrate the passion for the game that exists amongst supporters at all levels of The Football League. Week-in week-out throughout the season they go to tremendous lengths to support their clubs and I pay tribute to them.

"These figures are a testament to the quality of football being played by our clubs in high-class, modern stadia and to the hard work they carry out in their local communities to encourage the next generation of supporters to follow their local club."

Hopefully we will continue in our amazing support next term and also hopefully, The Reds' on-pitch performances will match the passion of the fans on the terraces.
