Alan Rogers has acknowledged the fact that Forest need Michael Dawson if they are to mount any sort of promotion challenge next season.
Alan Rogers holds the view that we must keep a hold of star player Michael Dawson if we are to achieve anything next season. The fact that he is talking about how 'we' must keep players probably means he is going to accept Kinnear's contract offer. "There are people who Forest need to keep and Daws is certainly the big one," said Rogers. If we do manage to keep him then it will give us a strong team next season and a player that will easily be able to cut it if we gain promotion.
"He is one of the best central defenders around, I would put him right up there with the likes of Jonathan Woodgate and John Terry," he told the Evening Post.
"Along with Wes Morgan, he will give us the best central-defensive partnership in Division One and give us a great chance of getting into the Premiership."
