Joe Kinnear has managed to gain the signatures of two players today. Alan Rogers, who has previously been a key figure at the City ground; and Kevin James who was out-of-contract at Gillingham.

Joe Kinnear has today managed a double swoop. Alan Rogers, who has spent the last few months on loan here, and ex-Gillingham midfieder Kevin James agreeing to sign 3 year deals with the club.

"I couldn't be happier. When I came back to the club on loan in February I was hoping that it might lead to something permanent," he told the club's official website.

"I've thoroughly enjoyed being back here and in many ways it has been like returning home after spending so many happy times here before."

James was also pleased with his move saying: "It's a massive opportunity for me to be joining a club like Nottingham Forest.

"I've had a good look around the place and the manager or nobody else had to sell Forest to me.

"I just can't wait to pull on a Forest shirt and get playing for them next season."

Surely this is a sign of ambition- and we await more signing as Joe Kinnear looks to build a squad taht will look to be contending for promotion.
