Jess signs new deal

Eoin Jess has today accepted the offer of a new contract by Forest Manager Joe Kinnear. The 33 year old has played for Scotland in the past and it would seem that Joe Kinnear sees a place for Jess in the Forest side still.

Before Joe Kinnear arrived Eoin Jess was a bench-sitter, he was not popular with the fans and rarely got on the pitch. But Joe Kinnear has turned his career around. When Kinnear came to the City Ground he began playing Jess again. Kinnear, seeing his talent, persisted and Jess has rewarded him with some good recent performances as the whole side finished the season on a high. Jess is now enjoying his best football since he arrived he from Valley Parade, at the beginning of our play-off season. Jess will no doubt be keen to retain the first team place which he has earnt so well.

Jess now joins Rogers, Impey and James, who have all signed this week. So far of the six players Joe said he'd offered contracts to three have signed, as well as Kevin James from Gillingham. But what of the remaining three? In particular Garteh Williams, does his future lie with us?
