Will Paul Gerrard sign ever sign for The Reds?

It is becoming increasingly unlikely that Paul Gerrard will sign for Forest. The player spent the final part of last season on loan with The Reds but seems to be demanding high wages- which Leeds United could not afford!

Today Leeds United admitted that they are no longer chasing ex-Everton goalkeeper Paul Gerrard as they cannot afford his wages. So does this mean that we won't be able to afford him either? Leeds United are strapped for cash but it does seem, judging by some comments made by fans, that they are still offering players high wages as they gamble on promotion and will be spending their parachute payment on rebuilding the squad. You'd think they'd have learned by now! If this is true then it seems that the player will definitely not be signing for us- however, another likely possibility is that Leeds United are not willing to gamble on the club's future yet again and the wages Paul were demanding were not too high- but where too high for Leeds United. Hopefully the latter is true and therefore he will sign- but at the moment it seems increasingly unlikely that the former loanee will ever permanently join The Reds. At least we've still got "Wardy," eh?
