Johnson's staying! Worthington dismisses reports.

According to a quote from Norwich City manager Nigel Worthington- David Johnson is not on his way to Carrow Road and the surprising reports are completely unfounded. Maybe we should be concentrating on the imminent additions to the squad rather than departures.

Norwich City were rumoured to be lining up a bid of £3m for our prolific goalscorer and fans favourite David Johnson. Canaries' boss Nigel Worthington has dismissed these reports, however. As soon as fans heard the rumour they were wondering why a club would be wanting to sign a player that their fans hate so much- not only for his Ipswich Town roots, but also for that "behind you!" moment which embarrassed goalie Robert Green. "The reports about David Johnson are news to me, there is nothing in that all," he said. "Even if it had been true Norwich City Football Club would not be in a position to offer £3m for any one player. It would seem that we have nothing to worry about then- at that we can concentrate on the additions that Kinnear is making to our squad rather that the departures.
