USA Tour News round-up - 14/07/2004

Ben Olsen is relishing the prosepect of playing against his former club, Nottingham Forest, and he can't wait for DC's game tonight against The Reds.

Olsen told our official site: "I saw the roster of Forest players yesterday and recognised Matthieu and Alan's names.

"I think they are the only guys who are still at the Club from when I was there and I'm looking forward to meeting them again.

"I still keep an eye on how Forest are doing and I'm really excited about the prospect of playing against them."

Meanwhile manager Joe Kinnear believes that United will prove a stern test but thinks that if we work hard we can overcome a fully-fit and full strength DC side:

"It will be a tough game for us because DC are in the middle of their season but I'm looking for a good performance and a good result."

He also commented on the hard work the boys have been putting in during pre-season training sessions-

"The lads have worked really hard. They have done everything we have asked of them and look really sharp. I'm delighted with their effort and commitment so far.

"It has been hard graft but there's no getting away from that for players at this time of the year but I think they are ready to make the next step, which is playing games."
