Virginia Beach Mariners Vs. Forest - Match Preview

Nottingham Forest will take on the Virginia Beach Mariners tonight as they bring the curtain down on their tour of the United States. So far The Reds have recorded two draws and they will want to get a win under their belts in order to boost confidence levels before the new season gets underway.

| Nottingham Forest will tonight bring the curtain down on their United States Tour 2004 when they take on 'A' League side Virginia Beach Mariners, who are half-way through their league season, under the blazing heat of the East Coast sun.
The Reds will be looking to sign of in style from a tour in which they have so far failed to record a win. Joe Kinnear and his boys can take many positives away from the experience, however. The younger members of his squad have got some valuable match experience under their belt and these games will have done wonders for the team's fitness. Kick-off is at 7.30pm local time, (12.30am GMT), and Joe Kinnear is looking forward to tonight's game, and to returning home. "The players have worked incredibly hard throughout the trip and it would be nice to end on a positive note," said Kinnear from his side's Virginia Beach hotel. "The Lads have done everything we have asked of them so far and although it's not about results at this stage of our preparations, it would be nice to head home with on a positive note." Directions: Follow I-264 East to the exit of Independence Avenue. Then take Independence Avenue (South). Follow Independence Avenue (South) and the signs for the Virginia Beach Amphitheater. Make a left onto Princess Anne Road and follow it until Dam Neck Road. Make right onto Dam Neck Road and follow signs to the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. The Sportsplex holds 10,000 fans (all seated) and is a nice homely stadium in which they attempt to create a European Football atmosphere by putting the seats as close to the playing surface as possible.
