Recent Form : Queen's were narrowly beaten in extra time last week away to St. Mirren whilst Gretna were on the end of a 5-0 hammering at home by Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Likely Outcome : Gretna are now a full time outfit but it probably won't be until the second half of the campaign that they derive a real benefit from that, as Morton did last season. This is probably a good time for Queen's to be meeting them and, if the Spiders can grab the opening goal, the home players will really start to feel the pressure. It's now been three seasons since Queen's won their opening League game so hopefully it will be third time lucky this Saturday. Queen's to win 2-0.
