Hotshot Fearns is Better Than Lutel

Terry Fearns. Remember the name, he could soon follow Matt Haddrell and Phil Brazier to a bigger club. For the second year running he has topped the UniBond scorers chart, that could provoke bigger clubs into swooping for the 23 year old ex-Wigan striker.

Like all Motors fans I will be hoping Terry will stay and try to get even more goals. Terry finished third in the league scorers chart with 29. Accy's Lutel James topped that with 33 and Lancaster's Andy Wittaker came second with 31. But in all competitions Terry has struck 38 times while James and Whittaker only managed 36 and 33 respectively. Terry is proving a great player at this level and is attracting attention with every goal and hopefully he can bag 40 for Vauxhall next season. Well done Terry.

Terry proved he could cope with life in the Nationwide Conference by scoring both goals in the 2-1 FA Trophy 3rd rd win over Conference outfit Leigh RMI back in January. Terry who is in his second year at Vauxhall following his move from St. Helens, could be persuaded by a move to a bigger club, like ex-team mates Matt Haddrell and Phil Brazier who moved to Macclesfield and Northwich Victoria respectively. Although Terry won't come cheap as Vauxhall slapped a £100k price tag on him.

Alvin McDonald denied Fearns was going anywhere by saying, "Hes contrcted for another year and we will be speaking to him in the summer about extending that, we will with alot of the players, but Terry is certainly here for another year".
