Reds again linked with Italian star defender

Manchester United may renew their interest in Juventus star Giorgio Chiellini amid speculation that the Italian star is unhappy with his current contract.

The towering versatile defender has been linked with a move to Old Trafford before - and speculation suggests that Sir Alex Ferguson could renew his interest over the summer months.

The 25-year-old is allegedly hoping to be offered a lucrative contract by Juventus or seek a move away from the club.

Rivals Manchester City, Arsenal and Real Madrid have all also been linked with the Pisa-born player's services.

However, with Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Wesley Brown in the squad, the tough-tackling Chiellini may be concerned about moving to Old Trafford if first-team opportunities were not guaranteed.

The former Fiorentina star has become a fan favourite at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino and will be hoping to play a central role in Italy's World Cup challenge this summer.

Realistically, we're going to be linked with umpteen amounts of players.
