Red Devils stopper Anders Lindegaard has slammed the team's performance following Saturday's undeserved 1-0 win over non-league Crawley Town. Wesley Brown's header on 27 minutes ultimately settled the tight contest.
Danish stopper Lindegaard made his second United appearance on the weekend following his £3.5million switch.
He made his debut in the narrow 2-1 Cup victory at Southampton in round four but, arguably, the Red Devils found things even more difficult against non-league Crawley Town.
Brown's header from a Darron Gibson cross proved enough, but impressive Crawley missed a string of chances and their heroics warranted at least a draw.
"This wasn't good enough", said the 'keeper.
"We cannot be proud. We didn't do well.
"It was not as straightforward as we would have wished for".
Lindegaard was visibly frustrated by his team-mates during Saturday's game and has revealed that the possibility of Crawley being a potential banana skin was drummed into him in the days leading up to the game.
"The manager and the coaches were telling us for a couple of days, especially the foreigners who are not used to the F.A Cup, how it is played".
The 'keeper was understandably full of praise for the Conference club, adding: "Crawley did a great job. They carried on coming at us. They really worked hard ... (and) have a lot to be proud of, even though they lost".
