FC United's unbeaten run comes to an end at Chasetown

FC United of Manchester’s superb run came to an end on Saturday with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chasetown. Mike Norton and Jerome Wright were both dismissed for the Red Devils as Karl Marginson’s men lost their first match in 16 encounters.

Nine-man FC United came unstuck in their EvoStik League Premier Division clash at Chasetown.

Richard Davies and Mark Branch hit the target as the Scholars rekindled their top five hopes with a crucial win.

The result leaves FC third in the table, three points clear of North Ferriby United with a game in hand.

Marginson’s men finish their league campaign with crucial games against Marine, Matlock and Kendal.
