Darren Fletcher in action as reserves thump Swans 6-0

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher continued his comeback from a virus by playing 90 minutes as the Reds' second-string hammered Swansea City 6-0 at Moss Lane. Mame Diouf scored twice, whilst Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, William Keane and Federico Macheda all found the net. 

545 were in attendance as United's second-string cruised to an easy victory over Alan Curtis' Swansea at Altrincham.

Macheda broke the deadlock, latching onto Davide Petrucci's through-ball.

Pogba fired home Sean McGinty's cross to double United's advantage before Diouf made it three before the half-time break.

The goals kept coming after the interval and Diouf showed great pace and a nice finish to make it four.

Lingard and Keane completed the rout in the closing stages as a number of United's youth and fringe players staked a claim for a chance in the first-team.
