Carling Cup heroics

It comes as no surprise that Manchester United's League Cup tie at Elland Road is to be broadcast live on television. The Sky Sports cameras will be in Yorkshire as Leeds United look to cause another upset, having dumped Sir Alex Ferguson's men out of the F.A Cup at Old Trafford in January 2010.

The eagerly-anticipated game will take place on September 20th.

Sky Sports will be broadcasting the game live as United lock horns with bitter rivals Leeds.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will be likely to rotate his squad for the game, but will be under intense pressure from the Reds' supporters to seal victory for United.

Jermaine Beckford's goal handed League One Leeds a famous win at Old Trafford last time out - in a game the Red Army will be anxious to banish from memory.

The winners will head into round four and will be one of the last 32 clubs in the competition.
