Manchester United goalkeeper David Dea Gea wore the captain's armband as the Spanish under-21 side thumped Georgia 7-2 on Thursday evening. Benfico's Rodrigo bagged a hat-trick as Spain claimed a comfortable victory and now prepare to face Georgia again on Monday.

Spain bagged six first goals as they thrashed Georgia on Thusday evening.

Having been involved in United's 8-2 hammering of Arsenal, De Gea was once again watched on from between the sticks as his side claimed an emphatic win.

The hosts gained some consolation in the second-half with two goals, including a long-range effort from Nika Kvekveskiri which beat De Gea.

United's 19-year-old shot stopper won the Under-21 European Championship with Spain over the summer.
