Pogba could make United bow in front of Sky cameras

Sir Alex Ferguson is considering handing a first-team debut to Paul Pogba in front of the Sky television cameras. The United boss may name the youngster in midfield for the eagerly-anticipated Carling Cup third round tie against fierce rivals Leeds at Elland Road. 

Reports suggest that Sir Alex rates Pogba highly and feels he has a big future at Old Trafford.

The United boss is expected to name a much-changed side for the League Cup clash at Leeds on September 20th and Pogba is in contention for a starting berth.

Speaking to club magazine Inside United, he said: "Pogba's in the first-team set-up now.

"He'll probably be involved in the League Cup and that'll be his chance to establish himself in the squad".

United fans will be desperate for the Red Devils to beat rivals Leeds and progress in the competition - especially after the Whites, then of League One, dumped United out of the F.A Cup at the third rouns stage in 2010. 

Though the Frenchman is yet to appear for United's senior team, he was an unused substitute during the lucky 1-0 F.A Cup win over Crawley Town last season.

He holds squad number 42 at Old Trafford.

Pogba time is nearly upon us, I have great hopes for this lad, could literally be the future of our midfield!

Hope he does get the nod now and he does well!!

i can not wait, been watching him through the youth set up into the reserves. he is a talent and hopefully will show it come tuesday
