City's cash would make MUFC title win even sweeter for Giggs

If United win the Premier League title this season, it'll be all the sweeter for Ryan Giggs because the vast amounts of money bitter rivals Manchester City have spent. Following the weekend's action, the Red Devils have opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table and are huge favourites to win the title once again.
Welshman Giggs is hungry to win more medals at Old Trafford, and feels United will have successfully overcome a number of tricky obstacles if they win the title once again this season.
He told United Review: "It (the title) would be huge. When you look at the spending power Manchester City have, the injuries we've had, the experience we've lost - Scholesy for half the season, Edwin van der Sar, John O'Shea, Wes Brown".
He added: "Then the challenge we faced bringing in a new goalkeeper - David de Gea came in for a lot of criticism early on but he's worked hard and he's showing terrific form at a key time - and the young talent we've blooded in, it would be a massive achievement."
Following the 2-0 home win over QPR and Man City's defeat at Arsenal, United have opened up an eight poiint lead at the top of the Premier League.
Giggs' substitute appearance against Rangers was his 30th of the season, taking his career club tally to 904 games. Four of his 163 United goals have come during the 2011/2012 campaign.

Nobody would have thought, except the most die hard of United fans that city would throw away the lead they had accumulated by the turn of the year. Title number twenty is testimony to the genius that is Sir Alex Ferguson.
His and the club's achievments over the last 20 years are nothing short of astonishing.
