Saturday’s lunchtime victory at Vicarage Road made it six wins on the bounce for United at Watford – with the Hornets having now claimed a home win over United since 1986.

The Red Devils left it late to grab maximum points at Watford – with Troy Deeney turning home Bastian cross to ensure a 2-1 victory for the Red Devils.

United have now won six on the bounce at Vicarage Road -  with a 1-0 win in January of 1988 followed by a 3-2 triumph in April 2000, a 3-0 triumph in October of that year, a 2-1 win in August 2006 and a 4-1 in April 2007.

Watford's last win over United at the Vic came in September 1986. Iwan Roberts – in the early days of his career – grabbed 90th minute goal beat Chris Turner, in front of 21,650 spectators. Since that date, they also have suffered four successive defeats at Old Trafford.

The two teams have now met on 25 occasions, with Watford claiming only 4 wins - a 16% return.
