Sir Alex Ferguson is looking forward to the challenge from Italian champions Juventus. Juventus will be looking to end United's 100% record so far in this America tour, whilst mourning the recent death of their club's president.

Manchester United are looking to maintain their 100% record in their tour of the USA when they take on Juventus in New Jersey. The game will be the 3rd instalment of their tour, after winning all their other games- thrashing UEFA cup runners up Celtic 4-0, and beating Club America 3-1. The game will be taking place at the Giants Stadium, New Jersey. The stadium has a capacity of around 80,000 and holds the 3rd largest capacity in the history of the NFL. United’s opponents Juventus, had a wonderful season last year, winning the Serie A, and came runners-up in the Champions’ League final this season. However they will be mourning the death of the club's president Vittorio Caissotti di Chiusano this afternoon. Juve go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with United’s opponents of the 3rd of August Barcelona. As for team news, United are without skipper Keane and Paul Scholes. Head phisio Rob Swires sent Gary Neville home because of a hamstring injury. Tim Howard has trained for a week, and is set to make his debut. As for Juventus, Uruguayan forward Zalayeta has an injury, which will keep him out for 3 weeks. The game will be shown live on MUtv, with coverage starting from 12:45AM, tonight. |
