Spanish out-fit Racing Santander have signed Manchester United goalkeeper Ricardo on a 1-year loan deal. Ricardo has struggled to break into the first team since joining United from Valladolid last August.

goalkeeper Ricardo has joined Spanish outfit Racing Santander on a
1-year-loan deal. The 31-year-old Spaniard joined United from Valladolid for £1.5 million last August, and has failed to impress critics and fans.
"Racing
have treated me very well and they have fulfilled the factors I like. That's
why I reached agreement," said Ricardo. "I
have all the hopes in the world and want to enjoy playing in Spain again and
help the team. "This is not a step backwards I was missing Spanish football after seeing it on the television, and after talking about it with my family we decided to come to Santander." Despite only starting 5 games for United, Ricardo insists that he has made the right decision moving to Manchester."I can only feel gratitude, I am nothing but grateful for the chance to play for United." |
