Manchester United and South African international midfielder Quinton Fortune will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his knee to re-pair a troubled cartilage. Cape Town born Fortune has recently been filling in at left-back to try and help United's defensive problems.

Quinton Fortune is set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing
surgery on his knee to re-pair a troubled cartilage.
The South African who has recently converted to left-back to help United's defensive problems injured his knee in training last week and doctors seemed that surgery was relevant and will consequently miss the rest of United's troubled season. “Quinton is out for the rest of the season.” Sir Alex Ferguson made clear earlier today. Cristiano Ronaldo's injury that he sustained in the Champions League defeat by FC Porto wasn't as bad as first thought. The Portuguese international's injury will keep him out for around 2 games and is likely to miss the Manchester Derby this weekend. |
