Saha Slams Teammate Van Nistelrooy

Manchester United's latest striking acquisition Louis Saha has slammed partner Ruud van Nistelrooy and claims that fellow Frenchman Thierry Henry is a better player. The duo go head-to-head in a Euro 2004 warm-up clash in Holland tonight and both are set to feature.

Frenchman Thierry Henry, van Nistelrooy's counter-part at Arsenal, is
better.
Saha's French squad and van Nistelrooy's Dutch squad go head-to-head in a Euro 2004 warm-up game in Holland tonight and both players are likely to feature in the game. "Ruud lacks big-match experience. Thierry has played in major finals and he knows how to approach these games." Saha stated. "Ruud doesn’t take enough part in the collective play and that he never scores from outside the box." he continued. "He needs to gain experience at the highest level, Ruud never scores from outside the 18-yard area and never takes free-kicks. It is very rare to see him trying his luck from distance" Saha, 24, recently won his first cap for France against Belgium and capped it with a goal a few weeks after moving to Old Trafford from Fulham for just over £12 million. |
