Manchester United's opponents in the FA Cup Final have been confirmed after London outfit Millwall squeezed past fellow First Divisioners Sunderland 1-0 at United's fortress Old Trafford earlier today. A Tim Cahill shot booked The Lions' place in Cardiff on May 22nd.

Final have been confirmed after London outfit Millwall squeezed past
fellow First Divisioners Sunderland 1-0 at United's fortress Old Trafford
earlier today.
Australian international Tim Cahill booked The Lions' trip to Cardiff's Millennium Stadium to face United on May 22nd after Sunderland 'keeper Mart Poom's deflected Paul Ifill's shot which fell to Cahill to strike home 26 minutes into the game. Mick McCarthy's outfit had former Liverpool midfielder Jason McAteer dismissed with just 4 minutes to go after picking up a 2nd yellow card. This historic victory for Londoners Millwall booked them a place in The UEFA Cup next season and player/manager Dennis Wise along with assistant manager Ray Wilkins were in jubilant wood in front of a 56,112 Old Trafford crowd. "It's fantastic. They've worked extremely hard. They are a great bunch of lads and I'm proud of all of them." said former Chelsea midfielder Wise. Wise now has the chance to win the FA Cup with a record breaking 3 different clubs if he guides his club to success against The Red Devils in Cardiff. |
