Sir Alex Thanks the Red Army!
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has thanked United fans for their support during Saturday's memorable 1-0 F.A Cup semi-final.

The atmosphere inside Old Trafford on Saturday was incredible, with 17,000 Reds out-singing their counterparts from London throughout, and the noise created from our supporters clearly lifted the team. I was sat in the Trinity Road middle tier, where the singing was incredible, and it was the same from all United fans across the Villa Park terraces.

"The intensity of the match was incredible and the fans were magnificent. It's a great thrill to be in the final. We have not been in it for five years and I think we have served our penance after not going in it the one year and there has been one or two years when we had the disappointment of being knocked out." said Sir Alex.

"However that's what cup football is and on Saturday we saw a Manchester United team and its supporters who were expecting to win and they all played their part."
