Ferguson Rubbishes Van der Vaart Link

Manchester Untied manager Sir Alex Ferguson has rubbished rumours linking Dutch wonderkid Rafael van der Vaart with a move to Old Trafford in the summer. The 21-year old is more than likely to part-company with the Dutch outfit in the summer to move to his most desired club, Barcelona.

has rubbished rumours linking Dutch wonderkid Rafael van der Vaart with a
move to Old Trafford in the summer.
Wonderkid van der Vaart, 21, has clearly expressed his feeling for Spanish giants Barcelona and revealed he would like to leave current club Ajax to join the Catalan outfit. "I have made no secret of the feeling I have for Barca. They are the club I have supported all of my life for family reasons. They are the club of my mother's family," said the Dutch winger. "Alex Ferguson has not been visiting me, and that's a fact," he continued. "I haven't made a decision yet, but I understand that I'll have to make one soon," When asked about the van der Vaart story, Sir Alex had this to say: "Absolutely nothing. You can run it (the story) if you like. I would be delighted if you did to keep the scent off." The Dutch international recently scored for Ajax in their victory against FC Groningen and is more than likely to part-company with the Dutch outfit in the summer. |
