Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly interested in signing France international Rio Mavuba, who recently won his first cap for his country. Mavuba, voted Player of the Tournament during France's Toulon U20 triumph, is France's hottest prospect.

recently won his first cap for his country.
Mavuba, voted Player of the Tournament during France's Toulon U20 triumph, is France's hottest prospect and has also attracted interest from Arsene Wenger. After producing performances so impressive in just 13 appearances for club Bordeaux, Mavuba was given a 45-minute run-out in France's international friendly with Bosnia in midweek. The 20-year-old is considered a midfield engine-room man in similar fashion to Roy Keane. A United scout allegedly attended Bordeaux's French league game with Lille yesterday that ended up in a 0-0 draw. |
