Bolton Wanderers v. Manchester United - Preview

The Red Devils have had a disappointing start to the season, picking up just 5 points in 4 games whereas Bolton have earned their way to 3rd position with a healthy 9 points.

Main Premiership contenders Arsenal and Chelsea have 100% records with 12 points from 4 games and United will be looking to catch the outfits up whilst Sam Allardyce's side look to earn a place in Europe this season.

Saturday's 3pm fixture will surprisingly be the first of the kind for United and have had to play games to meet television coverage's time.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been boosted by the news that duo Ruud van Nistelrooy and Gabriel Heinze can face Wanderers. "There's a big chance Heinze will play. Ruud is very close. It's a major decision, I may put him on the bench." admitted the Scotsman.

Louis Saha, Gary Neville, and John O'Shea are all ruled out with respective injuries they picked up on international week whilst Quinton Fortune is still not fit.

"Louis Saha is out for Saturday's game and it will be a race to get him fit for next Wednesday. There is a doubt there. Gary Neville is very doubtful for tomorrow, I don't think he'll make it. He should be OK for Wednesday." confirmed Ferguson.

Due to the injury woes, Argentine Gabriel Heinze is poised to make his long awaited debut.

Don't get too excited however, new-boy Wayne Rooney is still 3 weeks away from fitness, revealed Sir Alex. "Wayne is coming along fine, but after the injury he has had, he is still working with the remedial department," 

"He is training on his own and he should be ready in maybe three weeks."
