Steve Bruce had ridiculed rumours that he will become the next manager of Newcastle. Insisting he's staying at Birmingham.

"First of all, I feel that it's insulting to Sir Bobby Robson."

"He is one of the all-time best managers we have ever had in this game and I find it really insulting to him."

"How often are we seeing stories like this about various managers? All I can say is that I have never been as happy in management as I am at Birmingham."

"I'm thoroughly enjoying myself. I signed a five-year contract last summer and the work here is only just beginning."

"I can't say any more than that. I'm here, I'm happy and I just do not know where all this speculation comes from."

"I just want to put everyone's mind at ease and say 'forget all this. Some of this stuff is total nonsense. Whenever there's a story concerned with Birmingham, I have to spend all my time talking about. It can become monotonous."
