Burnley match set to get the go ahead

Reading's match against Burnley on Saturday at Turf Moor should go ahead despite pitch problems that has plagued Burnley for nearly 2 weeks now.The Clarets last 2 home games have been cancelled because of the state of the pitch,but the pitch should be ok for the visit of Reading.

| Reading's match against Burnley on Saturday at Turf Moor should
go ahead despite pitch problems that has plagued Burnley for nearly 2 weeks now. The Clarets had there game against Leicester City abandoned on New Years Day after a huge downpour of rain. And despite the best efforts of there ground staff, there 3rd Round FA Cup clash against Liverpool last Friday didn't even see a ball kicked. There were some Royals supporters speculating as to whether the match on Saturday would go ahead with the Clarets due to play Liverpool 3 days later in the rearranged cup match. Sky Sports have once again selected the match for TV coverage and the Clarets would be keen to get the game played as soon as possible, especially with there financial difficulties. This led to the suggestion that the game on Saturday might get conveniently called off in preparation for Tuesday. The weather reports for the area suggest sunshine for the rest of the week, however that will mean nothing to supporters who would have seen the state of Carlisle's Brunton Park Stadium.
