Ex-players always score against us..or do they?

You always hear fans says that former players always seem to score against them but is it nessacerily true? With the Imps set to face a lot of former players in the forthcoming weeks, I decided to do a bit of research to see just how accurate that myth really is.
As you can tell by the table below, the myth that former players always come back to haunt you is most definitely a myth. They may get the odd goal here or there but "always" is pushing it very very far indeed. Obviously the table doesn't cover every single player that's ever played against Lincoln after playing them but considering the blow players have only played a total of 43 games have been played against Lincoln and only 9 goals scored, near enough ends the "always" or even just "regulary" scores again their former clubs. (NOTES : THESE STATS INCLUDE LEAGUE AND CUPS)
Then of course you get to current Imps players who have played against their former teams this season. Obviously this list is pretty small but it still gives a reasonably decent showing that players rarely score against their former sides. Again, it's not a particulary bad record but "always" certainly isn't the word to use.
