Confusion as more potential changes are announced

There is confusion going around City message boards at the minute after the club stated on Monday that they were waiting on a responce for potential fixture changes. The fixture change causing confusion is the home game against Bradford City, with the Bantams claiming that the fixture has already been rescheduled, whereas the Imps don't seem to share the same view.

When the fixture list was announced last Thursday, it was obvious that some fixtures would need to be changed due to England games being played on the same day as some of the fixtures. One of the main fixtures involved was City's emotional first league game against Bradford on the 8th September.

Last Friday, Bradford City announced that the fixture had been re-arranged to be played on Friday 7th 2007 with a 7:45pm kick off, however, today the Imps announced on the official site that we were still waiting on confirmation from the FA if it was all ok.

City's first ever visit to the MK Dons is also likely to move, with the clubs trying to get the game re-arranged from Saturday 13th October to Friday 12th October. The away game at Grimsby is more than likely going to be reassigned to a 1pm kick off on 29th December.

City have also applied for the home games against Peterborough and Grimsby to 1pm kick offs, whereas the game with Chester at the beginning on November is also one of the fixtures up for rescheduling. This is a curious move by the club as there is no apparant reason for the fixture change request, oh well.

The pre-season friendly list is also likely to be announced soon, with home games against Watford and Scunthorpe, as well as away games against Boston, Retford and Grantham already confirmed.
