Roddy becomes City's latest example of the buses

Michael Roddy has joined the Imps following an impressive trial with the club, and after just two signings in the previous 2 months since the playoffs ended, we've now signed two in a day, just like the bus service in Lincoln. The former Bolton man is the only one of the trialists to join up with the Imps on a permanent basis, but now City are finally making progress in the market.

Roddy joined the Imps in time for the friendly at Lincoln United and impressed heavily in the 2-1 win. He also impressed 24 hours later when City won 4-2 at Grantham, but he was unfortunately injured and it appeared he wouldn't get his first chance at regular first team football.

At just 18 years old he will more than likely be the youngest player to have a realistic chance of first team football and could make his first appearance in an Imps shirt in tomorrow's game against Scunthorpe United.
