Are City about to raid the Galpharm?

Peter Jackson could be about to make his first raid on Huddersfield Town after Andy Ritchie admitted the Lincoln boss has been in contact regarding the possibility of loaning players. Jackson has yet to sign a single player on a permanent basis in his 3 months in charge but is said to be after a new goalkeeper and a central defender, with Tom Clarke being listed as a potential target.

Jackson's signings so far have all been on loan and have had mixed results. Ben Smith turned out to been a flapping flop, Adam Smith was never given a chance and Lee Ridley has been fairly decent so far. Many are surprised that he hasn't yet gone into getting a single player from Huddersfield yet, having managed the Terriers for 3 and a half years.

On Huddersfield's official website, Andy Ritchie revealed that Jackson has been in contact regarding potentially signing players on loan.

"'I had a quick chat to Peter Jackson while at the Reserve game yesterday as he was keen to find out the position of some of our players for potential loan deals. He wants a centre-back and a goalkeeper, but nothing is concrete as of yet. I will be talking to him again today about the possibility of something happening."

The only name specifically mentioned is Tom Clarke. Tom, brother of Huddersfield's current first teamer Nathan, is being touted as the player most likely to move. 

"Some of the players who were involved against Coventry on Wednesday could do with going out on loan and getting some match practice. Tom Clarke is one who could feature in any possible move, but if Tom is the type of player that Peter wants is another thing. We need to discuss things further.'"

The news that Jackson wants a goalkeeper could mean the end for Marriott. Jackson has publicly critcised Marriott on several occasions and seems to have finally lost patience after the goalkeeper kept making the same old mistakes he made before his exclusion from the squad.
