Lincoln City's goalshy attack has been boosted with the signing of Geoff Horsfield. The striker has been a regular scorer in the Championship during his career, including a prolific spell at West Brom, including Premiership football as recently as three years ago. It's certainly an ambitious signing.
Horsfield was part of the history making West Brom side as the Baggies became the first ever side to stay up after being bottom at Christmas, the striker scoring and setting up one of the goals that day.
It's just one of a few clubs during his prolific career that saw him score 30 goals in just 40 games for Halifax in the early 90s and his goalscoring exploits will certainly be welcome to a City side which only contains one striker who seems to know where the goal is.
If the game at Morecambe goes ahead, it is likely that Horsfield will make his debut.

Hold on a minute, that's an average of 1 in 4. I'm afraid 11 goals in a season for a top scoring forward aint enough for promo
