Dolke slams City about "illegal approach"

City's impending deal to bring Moses Swaibu to Sincil Bank has brought heavy criticism from the Chairman of Bromley FC. Jerry Dolke claims that City have made an illegal approach for the defender, stating that the required seven day notice for offering a player a trial was never made by the Imps for the defender.

Swaibu has impressed for City in his trial so far, so much so that Peter Jackson is set to offer him a contract. However, the problem comes that under the FA rules a player registered at a non-league club, regardless of whether he is under contract or not, can only go on trial at another club with a 7-day notice period, something that Bromley's Jerry Dolke claims never happened.

"I'm shocked that a professional League club can act this way. Moses is a registered player to Bromley and they have every right to speak to him, but they haven't had the courtesy to ask us for a seven-day approach," Dolke told the Bromley times.

His criticism was not only towards the Imps though, claiming Moses had acted in a negative manner. "Moses told Mark that he was not well and we gave him last Saturday off. Our club secretary, Colin Russell, will be following this up because he's a player who is registered to Bromley. We're just appalled.

If Bromley decide to take this matter further then it could have implications for the Imps, with a possible points deduction and/or a heavy fine.
