Reaction to the Chester game

The Imps were poor against Chester but still never looked like having any problems, but my main gripe is that Jackson has dropped our one consistent goalscorer in favour of players who do absolutely nothing during the games. It was a game where City had 15 chances but yet again wasting them, making it just 2 wins in 14 games? Going up? I think not.
I really am struggling to see why Adrian Patulea, our one consistent goalscorer, has been dropped near enough completely. It's just not a good sign when our manager seems to think that we don't need him, especially when you consider that Horsfield (without trying to criticise him) hasn't really made any sort of impact at all. Then again, Jackson does seem to think the Mullarkey brings something to the side, so that might say it all about Jackson.
It just seems strange that Jackson brought in Elding and Horsfield as he didn't think we were capable of scoring many goals, yet we had fifteen efforts against Chester and the one goal we scored came from a midfielder.
Infact, going back to him how the hell is Mullarkey still in the first team squad? He was RUBBISH whilst at Lincoln United.....and yes, I did see him play several times for them so my opinion is valid on that matter (soon to be criticised by those who never saw him play for anyone other than City), and yet somehow he's deemed good enough to be playing regularly in the Football League, that despite doing nothing whatsoever in the games. David Graham was far, far better than him and yet Graham only got the odd cameo appearance.
He's one of several players in the first team that have absolutely no impact at all, and it almost seems appropriate that N'Guessan had a bad game as soon as he's linked with other teams. Don't get me wrong, he has been our best player in recent weeks and I'm happy to say that. I've always said that I'm happy to praise him when he plays consistently well, but I do find it ironic that the recently emerged Youtube video about N'Guessan's best moments has only got about 5 minutes out of two years at this club.
Then we get onto a reason that I can't reiterate enough as to why we won't win promotion. Call me as negative as you like, but just two wins in fourteen games isn't good enough, especially when you consider that we were second best in the two games we won. Listening to Radio Lincolnshire is becoming tedious because the players are always saying "We could have," "We need to," or "If we," how about you don't pontificate and actually perform for once?
Also, one phrase that is becoming increasingly common is "If we can turn these draws into wins" but on the flip side, we're could easily be on the back of draws becoming defeats. If it wasn't for the points deductions then we would not only be 13 points above the relegation zone and we are lucky that those points deductions do count.
I can't really see anything other than midtable coming out of this season. Spin it anyway you want but losing more games than you win, only eight wins in twenty-six, and that our only regularly scoring striker is kept out of the side doesn't make for much optimism.

12 - N'Guessan | 4 | Made one or two clever moves but was otherwise pretty wasteful, especially with passing. |

Bit harsh on young Mullarkey, who looks decent out on the right wing, but your final paragraph (see above) is absolutely spot on!
