Frecklington denied final Lincoln City game

Lee Frecklington has been denied the chance of playing one final game for the Imps after City's game at Chesterfield was postponed on Friday afternoon. It's the second fixture in a row to be postponed because of the weather conditions which have seen snow fall twice in the last few days, the majority of it having melted away already.

Frecklington was due to make his final City appearance at Chesterfield before moving to Peterborough United, but the game has now been cancelled 24 hours before the game, that despite the majority of the snow and ice in the area having melted.

It means Frecklington ended his City career by scoring a last minute equaliser against Bournemouth last Saturday.

The Imps' home game against Macclesfield will now be played on March 31st.

What did you expect? Same thing happened with Ainsworth ........... at least Freck scored with his last kick in a City shirt!

Same old Lincoln no ambition well I think we can get ready for another year in League Two. Whats the point of us paying money to watch a team if we are never going to see a promotion.

No I suppose not but it still shows sighns of not much ambition within the club

Plus beevers, n guessan and patulea have not yet sighned new contracts, so will probably think best players gone whats the point of sighning a new contract because this teams going nowhere.

I am finding it hard to be optimistic.

Frecko "ill never join peterborough"
We got offered 250k now the price has fallen of him.
This is stupid, but at least Oakes gets to show us something, let's hope he can live up to his expectations.

"the game has now been cancelled 24 hours before the game, that despite the majority of the snow and ice in the area having melted"

I can assure you, having spent this weekend and part of the previous week in Chesterfield, there had been little or no thaw except on gritted roads!

I thought the official site said Freck wouldn't travel to Chesterfield anyway. I am sure they wouldn't have risked him getting injured when he was on the brink of moving for a big fee.
