Imps handed the chances for a great start

Lincoln City have been handed a great opening month for the new season with the Imps facing several sides tipped for relegation. However, that's about as good as it gets as City face numerous promotion challengers in September and the season could depend very much on getting a lot of points in that opening month.
The Imps will host the Bees on August 8th, hoping to maintain a record of winning every single home match against Barnet this century, following on from wins of 2-0, 4-1, 1-0, 4-1 and 2-0. The season also gets really going a week later when City travel to Accrington Stanley, with the current version of that team having never beaten Lincoln, losing five of the six games between the sides in the Football League.
City will also play at home on the final day again, this time facing Macclesfield. City have only been away on the final day once since 2002, travelling to Yeovil on the final day in 2004/5.
Our most local games against Notts County will both be on Tuesday nights.
