Forrester returns to Lincoln!

In what could be the biggest footballing coup of the summer, Jamie Forrester has returned to Lincoln to play his football......at Ashby Avenue. The striker who was prolific at Sincil Bank during his two spells for the Imps, including hitting three hatricks in less than 3 months.
Lincoln United have had a poor record in front of goal in recent years. Sean Cann has scored a fair few goals but following the departures of players such as Gio Carchedi, they have struggled to struggled to find a good partner for Cann, something which Forrester will be GUARANTEED to do at that level.
Forrester joined City on loan from Bristol Rovers in 2006 to aid City's promotion bid, eventually helping the ailing Imps to make the Playoffs. He made the move permanent and quickly established himself as one of the best over-30 strikers in the division. However, the relationship quickly turned sour with the Imps and he left in 2008, joining Notts County before being released at the end of last season.
It's an ambitious move for the minnows at Ashby Avenue and could easily be the biggest transfer coup of any club at any level this summer.
