Peter Jackson has rightly been sacked by Lincoln City after almost two years in charge. Credited with saving the club from relegation two seasons ago, Jackson's Lincoln City side was, at best, inconsistent and with the club already putting in six poor performances from seven games this season, thec lub have acted by sacking him and Iffy Onuora.
When the chants of "You're Getting Sacked in the Morning" rang around the Darlington Arena last night, very few of those chanting it realised that it would actually be the case. It was the second time in the space of a few days that there had been notable cries for Jackson to be sacked, and now the board have acted and gotten rid of him.
Despite claims from some fans that he was a decent manager, Jackson's record of losing considerable more than he won, means that he leaves with Sincil Bank with not only a lower winning percentage, but a higher losing percentage than a John Schofield who most feel he was better than.
The hunt for a manager will now start, Simon Clark and Tom Spall go in charge for now.

He deserved to be sacked, did nothing but give us empty promises. @#$%& results, bad tactics, poor signings (other than a few) and has sold every single player who was capable of creating or scoring in the forward area.

Pleased that you at least recognise he made some good signings. As for selling, think you have to look to the Board and the fact that the players wanted away.

Whatever the feeling about Jacko getting the sack, the average time for a manager in the 2nd division is 14 months!!

It feels like a black cloud has been lifted from Sinny Bank and frankly I couldn't give a hoot if he was a 'nice guy' or not. Dodgy used car-salesman with good PR skills about sums him up because his tactics were non-existant.
I can now return back to Lincs matches with hope that things will get better. 1st choice is obviously Wardy, but would be happy with Moore, Cotterill or Ainsworth (with a DOF alongside him) - I trust the board will get it right this time!

The "tizz" was solely regarding celebrating someone on the dole, either Dave Imp has never been there, or his experience wasn't as demeaning as mine.
On Jacko or Kacko in honesty very mixed feelings, as you say in a different way, good PR, raised visability of club, but in the end didn't make it. Believe he was 100% committed to the job and also feel that decision should have been end October.
Feel the Board can't endorse a change from older to younger players and then say decision on last and this season.
At the end of the day I hope everyone who posts here is not just a supporter, but more importantly an attender.

well i bet most of you on this site will be pleased that PJ has gone, and i hope for gods sake that the next manager is one that most of you on this site will support. with some the support was never there way before JP actually took over at SB
i for one think he should have been given a bit longer, iffy should have gone straight away leaving PJ as manager and then a different asst manager.

Whilst I think it was the right decision to get rid of him I think he was a thoroughly decent bloke and doesn't deserve any personal abuse.
He failed to get the results we needed on the pitch but off the pitch he came across as a likeable and genuine man.

he had to go, we have played @#$%& in 6/7 games this year, and its just not good enough.

Think you will soon see you are way off the mark with the board comment.
FRECK for instance, the board asked Kacko if he wanted to let him go and he jumped at it as he said he isn't as good as I was lead to believe. This coming from a bloke that rates Shane Clark and LJL FFS.
DNG just didn't want to play for the peanuts he was offered and found a bigger club and most probably didn't rate the Management Duo to highly either.
On the signings front maybe 4 out of 14 so not a great percentage but he did get us a half decent keeper.

Jacko was a decent man and I am sure gave his all for the club. I didn't like his style of football but that didn't stop me watching.
At the end of the day it wasn't working and I think in the long run the board have made the right decision, because his position was becoming more untenable match by match.
I certainly respect the way he has handled himself since being sacked, and it is sad to witness some on here who have made personal and unnecessary comments about him.

i reckon if he had more funds he'd have done better
pretty obvious though to be honest, he had a fairly big budget at huddersfield and got them up from league two

I'm not going to comment on Jacko as a Manager, but I still would have liked to have given him the next month to prove his doubters wrong, or fall on his own sword.
I don't think, as a club, that in the course of time, we will look back on the timing of the decision and the way the Snowball of discontent turned into an Avalance of vitriol with an awful lot of pride.
I believe we are bigger and better than the way we have behaved.
