Torres joins on loan from Peterborough

Sergio Torres has joined on loan from Peterborough United for a month. The exciting midfielder joined the Posh from Wycombe Wanderers last summer but has often struggled to hold down a first team place at Peterborough and has been relegated to the reserves.

Having joined Wycombe from Basingstoke in 2005, Torres impressed many in the division and became one of the most exciting players in League Two. Although you couldn't exactly describe him as prolific, he still weighed in with some vital goals before sealing a £200,000 move to Peterborough last summer. He has made a total of 17 appearances for the Posh since then, but was restricted due to a long injury.

Torres will join up with the Imps and more than likely go straight into the squad for the game against Shrewsbury on Saturday.
