Lenny's first goal in a year leaves City feeling six-y

Lenell John-Lewis' first goal since December 28th 2008 gave City much needed victory. It was a day for sixes as it was Sutton's sixth win as manager in all competitions, City's sixth League win of the season and most importantly, opened a six point gap over Grimsby town. Cian Hughton had opened the scoring for the Imps just before half time before Yakubu had equalised.
The game was only given the go ahead at 9:45am on the day of the game, and before I start the match report, I believe I speak for all City fans when I say well done to the Barnet fans and staff for the hard work that ensured the game was played......just a pity that your team didn't put in as much effort.
Barnet kicked off the game but it was the Imps who got off to a good start with Hughton winning a three kick 20 yards out in the sixth minute. After a bit of messing about, Saunders hit the ball just wide of the target. It wasn't exactly a busy start to the half though, but there should have been the game's first card as O'Neill went in double footed on Gilmour.
Barnet started to come into the game and most of the next period of the game was spent in the City half. Rob Burch had to pull off a fantastic save from a header to deny his former side an opening goal.
Despite dominating, Barnet weren't really creating any chances and the Imps made them pay for not take their chances. Kerr played through Hughton and he ran one-on-one with Cole, slotting home with City's first shot on target of the game.
Gillet was replaced by Deen just before half time because of an injury sustained in an incident leading to the goal. That was the final action of the first half.
Uwezu came on for Gilmour for the Imps at half time but the second half started as slowly as the first had and it took ten minutes for the first action. Saunders found Herd free on goal, but the Australian's effort was held by Cole. Cole claimed another Herd effort minutes later.
Deen was booked for a late tackle on Uwezu. Barnet started controlling again and when O'Flynn headed wide from mere yards, it appeared it wouldn't be Barnet's day, but a free kick 15 minutes from time was headed into the net by Yakubu. City will feel exceptionally annoyed by the goal as the free kick was taken a considerable distance from where the offence was commited.
Furlong replaced O'Flyyn for the hosts before Sawyer was booked for a foul on Herd. John-Lewis came for Facey before Micah Hyde became the latest to be booked for a foul on Herd.
Four minutes were added and it appeared as though the points would be shared, that was until an Anderson ball into the box was headed home by John-Lewis to give City their first double of the season.
